The block is located at the northern end of Russell Island on the corner of Harvey and Miller Street. It is about 300m from the Bowls Club on Jackson Road, 1.8km to the jetty for the ferry service at the northern end of the island, 1.2km to the shops, 1.4km to the primary school, and 2.4km to the RSL. A large park on Harvey St runs through to Jackson's Rd and is 150m away.

A Property Assessment was carried-out on the site on 20th October 2004, which indicates that the block is suitable for a 2 bedroom dwelling using an all-purpose septic tank. We were advised by Council that a 4 bedroom dwelling would require approximately 34m of trenching with a waste-water treatment plant. (Please note: the site evaluation has not been lodged with the Redland Shire Council).
